El Estoque:
El Estoque is Monta Vista High Schools award-winning publication. From summer Journalism Camps to going to New York for the CSPA convention, being a part of this publication, provides staffwriters the opportunity to explore the subject of journalism.
Currently, I am serving as one of the Editor-in-Chief's for El Estoque. Being in this role, I have the opportunity to work with amazing students, of the same role, make decisions and cover a variety of topics for the publication.
Along with this, being in El Estoque has given me the opportunity to make tons of friends, and just have fun and make memories when reporting on events.
Action for Climate Emergency (ACE):
Action for Climate Emergency (ACE) is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to raising awareness about climate change and promoting a cleaner and safer environment. One of the ways in which ACE engages high school students is through an internship program, which allows them to join the movement and make a difference in their communities. As part of the program, selected students get the chance to write op-eds that focus on climate activism. I was fortunate enough to be selected for this internship program, and it has been an incredible experience so far. Through this program, I have learned more about the impact of climate change and the ways in which we can work towards a more sustainable future.
